Job summary

Wellknown is seeking an Engineer for the Process dept. The role involves assisting shift operations, ensuring PTA charging and chip bagging per SOPs, monitoring chippers, and coordinating with maintenance for timely support. 0–3 years of relevant experience with a chemical engineering background is preferred.

The position is full-time with on-site operations and requires willingness to work in shifts and maintain rigorous safety and housekeeping standards across the plant area.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of chemical process operations and plant systems
• Understanding of safe operating practices in production plants
• Ability to support shift operations and follow operational instructions accurately
• Basic awareness of PTA charging, chipper operation, and chip bagging activities
• Knowledge of routine operational activities and housekeeping requirements
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Maintenance and Operations teams
• Basic troubleshooting skills and ability to identify process abnormalities
• Ability to prepare shift reports and maintain operational records
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work in shifts and continuously learn plant operations

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shift Manager in day-to-day shift operations
• Execute jobs assigned by the Shift Manager accurately and safely
• Ensure PTA charging and chip bagging activities are carried out as per SOPs and safety norms
• Ensure filter cleaning and routine operational jobs are completed as per defined schedules
• Monitor chippers and ensure stable and normal operation
• Coordinate with Maintenance department shift manpower for timely support
• Identify, report, and escalation process abnormalities to the Shift Manager
• Ensure proper product segregation during process deviations or abnormalities
• Prepare, maintain, and submit shift reports and operational records
• Maintain proper housekeeping, safety, and discipline in assigned areas
• Support supervisors and operators with technical and operational assistance
