Job Brief:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Educator for secondary grades (6th to 12th) on a consultant/contract basis. • 0–5 years of teaching experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons for Classes 6 to 12.
• Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge aligned with ICSE curriculum and other relevant boards.
• Design lesson plans catering to diverse learning abilities and learning styles.
• Prepare weekly assignments, worksheets, map activities, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Assess, record, and report students’ academic progress.
• Support students in school curriculum and competitive exam preparation.
• Encourage critical thinking, environmental awareness, and global perspectives.
• Conduct doubt-solving sessions and provide academic guidance.
• Create a positive and motivating classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents during PTMs or as required.
• Assist the Lead Educator with academic and administrative responsibilities.
• Integrate digital tools, maps, case studies, and current affairs into classroom teaching.
• Continuously upgrade subject knowledge and teaching methodologies.

Requirements:

• Willingness to work in Bangalore (North).
• Strong academic background in Geography.
• Teaching experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with ICSE/IGCSE/IB/ISC curriculum is an added advantage.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital teaching tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Good classroom management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate degree in Geography or related field (mandatory).
• B.Ed. (preferred).
• Experience in foundation courses or competitive exam preparation will be an added advantage.
