Job summary

Lightrains Technolabs in India is seeking a Generative AI Engineer to translate business problems into production-grade AI solutions across the full ML lifecycle, from data collection to deployment and monitoring.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and client teams to ship AI features that deliver real impact, fine-tune models with LoRA/PEFT/RLHF, and build scalable RAG pipelines and multi-modal systems in production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on ML/AI engineering experience.
• Experience with generative AI and LLMs.
• Strong understanding of transformers and attention.
• Proficient in Python and at least one DL framework.
• Experience deploying models via APIs and containerized services.
• Excellent communication to non-technical stakeholders.

We are looking for a Generative AI Engineer who can turn business problems into production-grade AI solutions. You will work across the full ML lifecycle — from data collection and model fine-tuning to deployment and monitoring — while collaborating with engineering, product, and client teams to ship AI features that deliver real impact.

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune large language models using LoRA, PEFT, RLHF, and other alignment techniques for domain-specific use cases
• Build and deploy RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and multi-modal AI systems in production
• Design evaluation frameworks to measure model quality, hallucination rates, and task performance
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing products and services
• Stay current with the rapidly evolving AI landscape and quickly evaluate new models and techniques

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in ML/AI engineering, with at least 1 year focused on generative AI and LLMs
• Strong understanding of transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, and model scaling laws
• Proficiency in Python and at least one deep learning framework (PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow)
• Experience deploying models via REST APIs, containerized services, or serverless infrastructure
• Excellent communication skills — you can explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders
