Job Role

We are looking for an accomplished and hands‑on AI Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of AI-powered capabilities across the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform. The role involves leading AI solution implementation, guiding AI/ML engineers and data scientists, and ensuring the successful integration of AI systems into large-scale, production‑grade platforms.

The AI Lead will work closely with product, platform, and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and high-performance AI solutions while staying current with emerging AI technologies.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions aligned with business and platform goals
• Drive the implementation of AI capabilities, including:
• Generative AI solutions and RAG-based systems (embeddings, vector search)
• Semantic and NLP-based search across large-scale content repositories
• Personalized recommendation systems for learning and skill pathways
• Conversational AI, chatbots, and AI tutors
• Content classification, auto-tagging, clustering, and metadata enrichment
• Predictive analytics and AI-driven insights dashboards
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership in building, training, deploying, and optimizing ML and LLM-based systems
• Establish and enforce MLOps best practices, including model lifecycle management, CI/CD, monitoring, and feedback loops
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to convert functional requirements into AI-driven features
• Guide and mentor AI engineers, data scientists, and backend developers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical problem-solving
• Ensure AI systems meet performance, scalability, security, privacy, and responsible AI standards
• Integrate AI components with Sunbird microservices, backend APIs, Elasticsearch, and vector database infrastructure
• Evaluate and adopt new AI models, frameworks, cloud services, and open-source tools
• Contribute to solution design, architecture documentation, and technical decision-making

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of overall software engineering experience, with 3+ years in AI/ML development and leadership roles
• NLP, Transformer architectures, LLMs, embeddings, and vector search
• Generative AI and RAG pipelines
• Recommendation systems and semantic search
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and tools:
• LangChain, LlamaIndex (or similar orchestration frameworks)
• Experience with vector databases: Milvus, Qdrant, Pinecone, Weaviate
• Strong understanding of MLOps practices (model deployment, monitoring, CI/CD, feature stores)
• Proficiency in Python with working knowledge of Java or Node.js for microservices and API integration
• Experience with Elasticsearch and distributed data stores (PostgreSQL, Cassandra)
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Solid understanding of security, data privacy, responsible AI, and enterprise scalability

Good to Have

• Experience with EdTech / L&D platforms, especially learner, content, telemetry, and analytics systems
• Domain exposure to EdTech, GovTech, or large-scale digital transformation programs
• Experience deploying LLMs in on‑prem or hybrid cloud environments
• Familiarity with platforms and tools such as Keycloak, Kafka, Neo4j, Redis, Flink, Druid analytics
