Job summary

Healic Healthcare is seeking a Medical Officer with 3–5 years of experience and MBBS + MD/MS or DNB qualifications in General Surgery to support OPD, IPD, and obstetrics procedures. The ideal candidate will handle general surgeries, laparoscopy, and related procedures, while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

The role requires valid state medical registration, the ability to work a 9-hour day with on-call readiness, and strong teamwork across surgical teams and supporting staff.

Qualifications

• MBBS + MD/MS in General Surgery or DNB is required.
• Valid State Medical Registration is mandatory.
• Comfortable with a 9-hour day shift and available on call thereafter.
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience in OPD and IPD.
• Ability to assist in general surgeries, deliveries, and C-section procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures including Open, Laparoscopic, and Laser surgeries with clinical competence and adherence to established medical protocols.
• Conduct detailed OPD consultations, assess patient history, examine patients, and recommend appropriate diagnostic tests and treatment plans.
• Manage pre-operative evaluation, obtain informed consent, and ensure patients are medically optimized prior to surgery.
• Coordinate closely with anesthetists, nursing staff, technicians, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control protocols, and patient safety standards.
• Guide and support junior medical staff when required.
• Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of surgical services.
