Qualifications

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site General Physician role based in Chennai. The General Physician will provide comprehensive primary care, including consultation, diagnosis, and management of common medical conditions for individuals undergoing preventive health screening. Daily responsibilities include reviewing screening results, ordering additional investigations where appropriate, explaining findings and treatment options to clients, and coordinating care with specialists as needed. The role also involves contributing to clinical protocols, participating in health education and counseling, and working closely with the nursing and diagnostic teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient experiences. The physician will be expected to maintain accurate medical records, uphold clinical governance and ethical standards, and support continuous improvement in NURA’s screening services.

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage a broad spectrum of adult health conditions.
• Experience or training in Family Medicine, with a focus on preventive care and continuity of care.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Nursing staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Skills in Training and mentoring junior clinicians or allied health professionals to maintain high clinical standards.
• MBBS degree from a recognized institution; MD/DO in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is preferred.
• Valid medical license and registration with relevant medical council; adherence to professional and ethical guidelines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex medical information clearly and sensitively.
• Comfort working with technology, electronic medical records, and AI-enabled diagnostic tools; openness to continuous learning.
• Experience in preventive health, screening programs, or lifestyle disease management is an advantage.
