Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–20 years of experience in manufacturing plant operations.
• Proven experience in greenfield projects, production, maintenance, utilities, and site operations.
• Strong leadership, planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Sound knowledge of safety, environmental, and labor regulations.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management.
• Residing in or willing to work from Arani, Serpedu Village; preference for Gummidipoondi area.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end plant operations including production, maintenance, utilities, manpower planning, safety, and compliance.
• Drive greenfield project activities from planning to commissioning and stabilization.
• Ensure efficient day-to-day manufacturing with focus on productivity, quality, cost optimization, and timely production.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and utilities.
• Manage cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors for seamless plant operations.
• Ensure compliance with Factory Act, environmental regulations, pollution norms, labor laws, and safety standards.
• Promote operational excellence through continuous improvement, SOPs, process optimization, quality and safety adherence.
• Monitor plant performance via key metrics and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and profitability.

Jivita Lifesciences LLP is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager Operaons to lead and oversee the complete operaons of its manufacturing facility. The role involves managing producon, maintenance, ulies, greenfield project execuon, statutory compliance, safety, and overall plant performance while ensuring operaonal excellence and business objecves are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end plant operaons, including producon, maintenance, ulies, manpower planning, safety, and statutory compliance.
• Drive greenfield project acvies, including planning, installaon, commissioning, and successful plant stabilizaon.
• Ensure efficient day-to-day manufacturing operaons with a focus on producvity, quality, cost opmizaon, and mely producon targets.
• Oversee prevenve, predicve, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery, equipment, and ulity systems to ensure maximum upme.
• Manage cross-funconal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless plant operations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory regulations, including Factory Act requirements, environmental regulations, pollution control norms, labor laws, and safety standards
• Promote operaonal excellence through connuous improvement iniaves, SOP implementaon, process opmizaon, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Monitor plant performance through key operaonal metrics and implement correcve acons to improve efficiency and profitability.

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1020 years of experience in manufacturing plant operaons, preferably in chemical processing, extracts, pharmaceucals, or other process industries.
• Proven experse in managing greenfield projects, producon, maintenance, ulies, and overall site operaons.
• Strong leadership, team management, planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Sound knowledge of statutory requirements related to manufacturing plants, including safety, environmental, and labor regulaons
• Excellent communicaon, coordinaon, and stakeholder management abilies.
• Candidates residing in or willing to work from Arani, Serpedu Village, with preference given to those from Gummidipoondi and nearby areas
