Job summary

Vertiv Co is seeking a Project Accountant to handle day-to-day project accounting tasks including invoicing, revenue recognition, and project closings for the Singapore Market Unit. You will support month-end close, journal entries, and analysis of WIP, AR aging, and unbilled revenue.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accountancy or related finance field with 1–2 years of project accounting experience, preferably in a Shared Services setup, plus strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related Finance field.
• 1–2 years of project accounting experience; Shared Services exposure is a plus.
• Strong MS Office skills and ability to work with large databases.
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter, results oriented, able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Accounting System.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with good time management.
• Exposure to international and multi-cultural environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial aspects of a project as it progresses and assist in month-end close.
• Prepare accounting journal entries and analyze reports such as WIP, Unbilled Receivables, Unearned Revenue.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for project accounts and ensure SOX compliance.
• Provide monthly SOX compliance requirements and ABL documentation.
• Handle other tasks as assigned.

Brief Job Description :
This role will be handling day-to-day Project Accounting tasks, such as completing Workflow requests: Invoicing, Project Revenue recognition and Project closing requests, Credit Note processing and providing support to Singapore Market Unit.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:
(This will describe the overall core responsibilities of the role, decision making responsibilities etc.)
•He will be assisting in overseeing the financial aspects of a project as it progresses, and be involved in month-end closing activities, preparing accounting journal entries, analyzing various reports such WIP report, Unbilled Receivables, Unearned Revenue, AR Aging report.
•Balance Sheet reconciliation related to Project accounts, providing monthly SOX Compliance requirements, and ABL documentations.
•Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Accountancy Graduate or any related Finance course
•1-2 years working experience with project accounting-related work experience, using automated financial systems /Experience in Shared Services environment would be an advantage
•Has above average computer literacy especially in the use of MS Office applications and has experience working on huge database
•Excellent analytical, oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
•Self-starter, results oriented and can work under pressure with minimum supervision
•Experience in using ERP systems such as Oracle Accounting System
•High sense of urgency, multi-tasking and can prioritize in fast paced environment and with exceptional time management skills
•Exposure in international and multi-cultural environment.
