Job Title: GENAI-Agentic AI Senior Technical Lead (Azure)

We are looking for a highly skilled GenAI and Agentic AI Senior Technical Lead with strong design and hands-on development experience across Microsoft Azure AI services, multi-agent frameworks, LLM orchestration, RAG, APIs, and cloud-native engineering. This role focuses on converting architecture direction into detailed technical designs and production-ready solutions. You will lead complex development, guide Technical Leads and developers, make implementation decisions, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure quality across all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

GenAI & Agentic AI Design and Development

• Lead detailed design and hands-on development of GenAI and Agentic AI solutions on Azure using:
  • Azure OpenAI Service
  • Azure AI Foundry
  • Azure Agent Service and Agent Runtime
  • Microsoft Agent Framework SDK
  • LangGraph and comparable multi-agent orchestration frameworks
• Design agent workflows covering planning, reasoning, state, memory, tool invocation, checkpoints, human review, and failure recovery.
• Design and develop enterprise RAG solutions using:
  • Azure AI Search
  • Azure AI Search Vector Stores
  • Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL with pgvector
  • Redis Enterprise on Azure
• Define prompt pipelines, retrieval strategy, embedding workflows, context management, tool contracts, and automated evaluation approaches.

Technical Design & Application Engineering

• Convert architecture into low-level designs, component boundaries, API contracts, data flows, sequence diagrams, and implementation plans.
• Lead enterprise development and delivery using:
  • Python, FastAPI, Django, and asynchronous programming
  • Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
  • Docker, AKS, Azure Functions, App Service, APIM, Event Grid, and Service Bus
  • Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, tracing, and operational dashboards
• Define engineering standards for modular code, reusable components, testing, secure coding, exception handling, configuration, and documentation.
• Own estimation, planning, technical design, development, test strategy, deployment readiness, production stabilization, and continuous improvement.
• Security, Reliability & Production Readiness
• Design authentication, authorization, managed identities, secrets management, private networking, content safety, guardrails, and secure integration patterns.

Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, availability, resiliency, observability, compliance, and Azure cost expectations.

Lead complex debugging, production incident analysis, root-cause resolution, performance tuning, and implementation of preventive actions.

• Engineering Governance & Reusable Patterns

Conduct detailed design and code reviews and make technical decisions for complex components and cross-team dependencies.

Create reusable engineering patterns and accelerators for:

• Multi-agent orchestration, state, memory, and tool integration
• RAG, hybrid retrieval, context enrichment, and evaluation
  • API contracts, microservices, events, and external-system integration
  • Security, guardrails, logging, tracing, monitoring, and operational support
  • CI/CD quality gates, configuration management, environment promotion, and deployment
  • Lead prototypes and technical spikes to validate design options, technology choices, risks, and non-functional requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, product owners, QA, DevOps, security, data, integration, and external-system teams to resolve delivery dependencies.

Technical Leadership & Delivery Enablement

• Guide Technical Leads and developers through design discussions, work breakdown, coding, reviews, troubleshooting, and production readiness.
• Improve engineering maturity through standards, review checklists, automated testing, quality gates, reusable assets, and technical mentoring.
• Develop low-level designs, API specifications, engineering guides, deployment runbooks, support documents, and knowledge-transfer material.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, with 8 to 12 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong design and hands-on development experience delivering enterprise AI/ML, GenAI, or cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced hands-on experience with:
  • Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Agent Service, Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph
  • Azure AI Search, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL/pgvector, Redis, AKS, Functions, App Service, APIM, Event Grid, Service Bus
• Advanced Python development using FastAPI or Django, asynchronous programming, microservices, and distributed-system patterns.
• Strong design and engineering experience in:
  • RAG, embeddings, vector retrieval, prompt lifecycle, model evaluation, caching, and context management
  • Multi-agent orchestration, state, memory, checkpoints, tool calling, human review, and failure recovery
  • Test strategy, code quality, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, production deployment, observability, and incident management
• Strong knowledge of Azure identity, RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, private endpoints, resiliency, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Experience leading multiple developers or workstreams and supporting technical estimation, risk management, client discussions, and release governance.
