Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking a hands-on GenAI and Agentic AI Senior Technical Lead to design and deliver production-grade solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will guide Technical Leads and developers, drive architecture into concrete designs, and oversee end-to-end SDLC in a multi-city Indian setup.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of GenAI and Agentic AI solutions using Azure OpenAI and Azure AI services.
• Design multi-agent workflows including planning, reasoning, memory, tool calling, and failure recovery.
• Define prompt pipelines, embeddings, retrieval strategies, and context management.
• Convert architecture into low-level designs, API contracts, data flows, and implementation plans.
• Lead Python development using FastAPI or Django, APIs, and microservices.
• Build and deploy using Docker, AKS, Azure Functions, App Service, API Management, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
• Implement CI/CD with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions with automated testing and quality controls.

Job Description

We are looking for a hands on GenAI and Agentic AI Senior Technical Lead with strong design and development experience in Microsoft Azure AI services, multi agent frameworks, LLM orchestration, RAG, Python, APIs, and cloud native engineering.

The role involves converting architecture into technical designs and production ready solutions, leading complex development, guiding Technical Leads and developers, and ensuring quality across the complete SDLC.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of GenAI and Agentic AI solutions using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Agent Service, Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, and similar frameworks.
• Design multi agent workflows covering planning, reasoning, state management, memory, tool calling, human review, checkpoints, and failure recovery.
• Design enterprise RAG solutions using Azure AI Search, vector search, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL with pgvector, and Redis.
• Define prompt pipelines, embeddings, retrieval strategies, context management, tool integrations, guardrails, and model evaluation.
• Convert architecture into low level designs, component designs, API contracts, data flows, and implementation plans.
• Lead Python development using FastAPI or Django, asynchronous programming, APIs, and microservices.
• Build and deploy solutions using Docker, AKS, Azure Functions, App Service, API Management, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
• Implement CI CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions with automated testing and quality controls.
• Design secure solutions using authentication, authorization, managed identities, Key Vault, private networking, and content safety.
• Ensure scalability, performance, security, resiliency, observability, and Azure cost optimization.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
• Guide Technical Leads and developers across design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, security, data, product, and integration teams to manage technical dependencies.

Required Skills

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7 to 10 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands on experience in AI, GenAI, Agentic AI, or cloud native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Agent Service, Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, and Azure AI Search.
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector retrieval, prompt engineering, context management, model evaluation, and AI guardrails.
• Strong knowledge of multi agent orchestration, state management, memory, tool calling, human review, and failure recovery.
• Advanced Python development experience using FastAPI or Django, APIs, asynchronous programming, and microservices.
• Experience with Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, pgvector, Redis, AKS, Azure Functions, App Service, and API Management.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI CD, automated testing, observability, deployment, and production support.
• Strong knowledge of Azure security, managed identities, Key Vault, scalability, resiliency, and cost optimization.
• Experience leading developers or multiple workstreams, technical estimation, risk management, and release governance.
