Role

Senior GenAI / Agentic AI Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows, and AI-driven APIs. The role emphasizes backend engineering, cloud-native deployments on AWS, prompt engineering, and production-grade security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and extend LLM-powered tool-calling pipelines for intelligent application workflows.
• Design, develop, and optimize prompt-based workflows including intent detection, prompt normalization, decision-making, and response orchestration.
• Write, test, and refine LLM instructions and prompts using evaluation frameworks and quality benchmarks.
• Develop and maintain high-performance HTTP APIs using Bun, Node.js, and Express.
• Build scalable backend services and integrate them with AI services, databases, and external microservices.
• Design and optimize SQL-driven data access layers using Drizzle ORM and AWS Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Deploy, monitor, and support cloud-native applications on AWS using GitHub Actions-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage containerized deployments and cloud infrastructure across AWS environments (Kubernetes, Docker, ECR, ECS).
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools while maintaining engineering best practices, governance, security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, data engineers, and frontend developers; contribute to Next.js / React when needed.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, sprint planning, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements.

Requirements

• 6–12 years experience (preferred 8–12) in backend software development and cloud-native application engineering.
• Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript for building scalable enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with AI SDKs, OpenAI-compatible APIs, chat completions, function/tool calling, and agent frameworks.
• Strong understanding of LLM workflows, prompt engineering, and prompt evaluation.
• Experience building, testing, and optimizing AI-powered applications and agentic workflows.
• Familiarity with the Bun runtime and emerging backend technologies.
• Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Expertise with AWS services, cloud-native deployment models, and CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, ECR, and ECS.
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL/Aurora PostgreSQL and ORMs such as Drizzle ORM.
• Familiarity with React and Next.js for cross-functional contributions.
• Experience with regulated data environments, compliance requirements, and security controls.
• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities; experience in Agile teams.
