Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking a hands-on GenAI and Agentic AI Technical Lead with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure AI services to design, build, and scale production-grade GenAI applications.

You will lead technical delivery, guide developers, implement CI/CD, and ensure security, reliability, and best practices across the SDLC while collaborating with architects, product owners, QA, DevOps, and data teams in a multi-city India footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Engineering/CS/IT or related field.
• 5–8 years of software development experience.
• Hands-on AI experience on Microsoft Azure and GenAI/Agentic AI.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, RAG, embeddings, vector retrieval and model evaluation.
• Familiarity with agent orchestration, planning, memory and tool calling.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of GenAI and Agentic AI solutions using Azure frameworks.
• Design agentic workflows including planning, reasoning and memory.

Job Description

We are looking for a hands on GenAI and Agentic AI Technical Lead with strong experience in Microsoft Azure AI services, Agentic AI frameworks, LLM orchestration, RAG, Python, APIs, and cloud native development.

The role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting secure, scalable, production grade GenAI applications. The candidate will lead technical delivery, guide developers, and ensure engineering best practices across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of GenAI and Agentic AI solutions using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Agent Service, Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, and similar frameworks.
• Design and develop Agentic AI workflows involving planning, reasoning, state management, memory, tool calling, orchestration, and human review.
• Build enterprise RAG solutions using Azure AI Search, vector search, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL with pgvector, and Redis.
• Develop prompt pipelines, embeddings, retrieval logic, context enrichment, tool integrations, model evaluation, content safety, and AI guardrails.
• Develop Python based APIs and microservices using FastAPI or Django and integrate them with Azure AI and enterprise applications.
• Build and deploy applications using Docker, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure App Service, and Azure API Management.
• Implement CI CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Implement authentication, authorization, managed identities, Key Vault, private endpoints, monitoring, logging, and secure service communication.
• Optimize application performance using caching, asynchronous processing, batching, vector index optimization, and autoscaling.
• Review technical designs and code to ensure scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, and performance.
• Lead technical design, estimation, development, testing, deployment, production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Guide developers and collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, DevOps, security, data, and integration teams.

Required Skills

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5 to 8 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands on experience in AI, GenAI, Agentic AI, or cloud native application development on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, RAG, embeddings, vector retrieval, prompt engineering, and model evaluation.
• Experience with Azure Agent Service, Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, or similar Agentic AI frameworks.
• Strong understanding of agent orchestration, planning, reasoning, memory, state management, tool calling, and workflow implementation.
• Strong Python development experience using FastAPI or Django.
• Experience with Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, pgvector, or similar databases.
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure API Management, Docker, Git, and CI CD.
• Good understanding of security, observability, scalability, reliability, performance tuning, and production support.
• Experience leading developers and working in Agile delivery teams across the complete SDLC.
