Job summary

Tredence is seeking a seasoned Data Science leader to drive GenAI and ML/AI initiatives across multiple domains in a client-facing role. You will guide architectural decisions, oversee end-to-end delivery, and mentor a growing team of data scientists and ML engineers.

You will engage senior stakeholders, translate business problems into AI solutions, and help shape the GenAI roadmap while contributing to pre-sales efforts and ROI demonstrations.

Qualifications

• 12–16 years in Data Science/AI/ML, with 3–5 years GenAI leadership.
• Proven client-facing delivery experience and strong stakeholder communication.
• Hands-on with transformers, LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning, and generative modeling.
• Proficient in Python, ML frameworks, NLP libraries, vector DBs, and MLOps.
• Experience deploying models on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Data Science leader with strong experience in Generative AI, machine learning, and analytics solution delivery. The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading project teams, managing client engagements, and delivering high-impact AI/ML solutions--especially GenAI-driven transformation programs. This role requires someone who can balance technical depth with strong delivery management and stakeholder communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project & Delivery Management

• Lead end-to-end delivery of GenAI and ML/AI projects across multiple domains.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and quality assurance.
• Ensure solutions meet client expectations and business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams--engineering, product, cloud, and business.
• Drive implementation of best practices, delivery frameworks, and standard operating procedures for AI projects.

2. Technical Leadership

• Provide thought leadership and architectural guidance on GenAI, LLMs, NLP, machine learning, and data science methodologies.
• Oversee development of models using transformers, LLM fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and model evaluation.
• Guide teams in building scalable production-grade AI systems.
• Stay updated with advancements in Generative AI, embeddings, model optimization, and multi-agent frameworks.

3. Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, ML engineers, and analysts.
• Drive capability building through training, technical sessions, and hands-on guidance.
• Perform performance evaluations and support career growth of team members.

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Engage directly with senior client stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into AI solutions.
• Present proposals, PoCs, and solution architectures.
• Manage expectations, communicate progress, and ensure smooth delivery.

5. Business & Strategy

• Contribute to developing the GenAI roadmap and reusable solution accelerators.
• Support pre-sales activities, RFP responses, estimations, and solutioning.
• Identify opportunities to expand accounts and demonstrate ROI through AI initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12-16 years of overall experience in Data Science / AI / ML, with at least 3-5 years in Generative AI.
• Strong experience delivering AI/ML projects in a client-facing and leadership capacity.
• Hands-on expertise with transformer models, LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Llama, etc.), RAG, fine-tuning, and generative modeling techniques.
• Strong understanding of Python, ML frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch), NLP libraries, vector databases, and MLOps pipelines.
• Experience deploying models on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Proven track record of leading teams and managing large-scale delivery engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related fields.
• Experience in consulting or professional services environment.
• Familiarity with enterprise-grade AI governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
