Job summary

EY is seeking a Generative AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy GenAI solutions in Noida, India. You will work on LLM-based systems, RAG architectures, vector databases, and AI agents, collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable AI applications.

The role requires strong Python programming, experience with OpenAI/Azure OpenAI, and familiarity with MLOps, cloud platforms, and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering with a strong AI/ML focus.
• Proficient in Python with REST APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on with leading LLM platforms (OpenAI/Azure OpenAI/Anthropic Claude etc.).
• Experience with RAG architectures and vector databases (Pinecone/ChromaDB/FAISS/Weaviate).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement GenAI solutions using LLMs and foundation models.
• Build RAG-based apps, semantic search, and AI-powered chatbots.
• Develop intelligent agents and workflow automation with orchestration frameworks.
• Fine-tune and deploy foundation models for enterprise use cases.

• Create prompts, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI governance.

Position: Generative AI Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Generative AI solutions using LLMs and foundation models.
• Build and optimize RAG-based applications, semantic search solutions, and AI-powered chatbots.
• Develop intelligent AI agents and workflow automation solutions using modern orchestration frameworks.
• Fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy foundation models for enterprise use cases.
• Integrate GenAI capabilities with enterprise applications, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Create prompt engineering strategies and model evaluation frameworks for improved accuracy and performance.
• Implement responsible AI practices, governance, security, and compliance controls.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, data scientists, and engineering teams to identify AI opportunities.
• Monitor model performance, optimize inference costs, and improve scalability.
• Stay current with emerging GenAI trends, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 610 years of overall software engineering experience with at least 24 years in AI/ML and Generative AI.
• Strong programming expertise in Python and experience with REST APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, or similar LLM platforms.
• Experience in RAG architectures, Vector Databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB, FAISS, Weaviate, Azure AI Search).
• Expertise in LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent frameworks.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, model evaluation, agentic AI, and multi-agent systems.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms: Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and MLOps practices.
• Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, embeddings, vector search, and knowledge graphs.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, insurance, banking, or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI, AI governance, model risk management, and compliance standards.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured enterprise data.
• Exposure to AI observability and monitoring tools.
• Relevant certifications in Azure AI, Machine Learning, or Cloud platforms.

Nice to Have

• Experience with multimodal AI solutions (text, image, voice).
• Knowledge of GraphRAG and knowledge graph implementations.
• Exposure to fine-tuning/open-source models such as Llama, Mistral, Falcon, or Phi.
• Experience building enterprise copilots and conversational AI solutions.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
