Job summary

Deutsche Bank in Mumbai, India seeks a GEM Product Control Senior Analyst to manage daily T+1 P&L, attribution and analysis. You will provide commentary to Front Office traders and finance leaders, investigate variances, and resolve analysis breaks across trading desks and systems.

Key expertise includes investment banking product knowledge, IFRS/GAAP familiarity, and proficiency with Excel/Word; candidate should handle multiple front office systems and ensure regulatory and risk control

Qualifications

• Financial control and product control experience in Investment Banking.
• Strong understanding of financial market products (Loans, Bonds, Credit, derivatives, Cash Equity, Swaps, Options, Futures).
• IFRS/GAAP knowledge preferred; front-to-back IB environment experience.
• Proactive time management and ability to escalate as needed.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; exposure to multiple front office systems.

Responsibilities

• Produce daily T+1 P&L, attribution and analysis.
• Provide daily commentary and variance investigation to Front Office traders and senior Finance managers.
• Conduct break investigations and resolution (Ledger vs cash, system vs trade docs).
• Manage model risk control exceptions and ensure compliance with risk guidelines.
• Respond promptly to queries from Finance directors and stakeholders.
• Understand trade flows and booking structures for accurate funding cost allocation.

Job Summary

Job Title- GEM Product Control Senior Analyst, AYST

Location- Mumbai, India

Role Description

• The Business Finance function is responsible for the production of business level revenue attribution, financial accounting and financial disclosures.
• It ensures, on a daily basis, the accurate and timely reporting of Profit and Loss (PnL) for each business unit and ensures that the drivers behind the risk positions and PnL are fully understood and explained.
• It also ensures that all of the Bank s transactions and positions are correctly reflected in the Bank s accounting records and disclosures, in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for the accurate and timely production of daily T+1 P&L production, attribution and analysis.
• Providing daily commentary and variance investigation to Front Office traders and senior Finance managers
• Break investigation and resolution: Model vs Actual (Ledger) Cash, FO/MO system vs trade docs etc
• Model risk control exceptions resolution
• Ensure compliance to risk and control guidelines.
• Stakeholder management by prompt response to various queries/issues from Finance directors, onshore management, Front office traders, Fincon, Risk management, etc.
• Understand trade flows, booking structures and ensure that the trades are captured in accordance with such defined structure which will enable accurate funding cost allocation through Funds transfer pricing.

Your skills and experience

• Financial Control and product control experience in Investment Banking
• Strong understanding of financial market products such as Loans, Bonds, Credit, derivatives, Cash Equity, Swaps, Options and Futures.
• Solid Fixed Income product knowledge i. e. Bonds, CDS, TRS, IRS & Loans.
• IFRS/GAAP knowledge is preferred
• Strong knowledge / experience of front to back Investment Banking environment (trade capture to balance sheet)
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritizes responsibilities, and escalates issues as necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong Word and Excel skills required
• Exposure to multiple front office systems.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.

Education

• P referably qualified MBA/Chartered Accountant / CPA / ACCA / CIMA / CFA.
