Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced GE Proficy MES Consultant to lead MES implementations, integrations, and support across manufacturing sites in India. The role covers design, development, rollout, and change management for GE Proficy Plant Applications, Historian, IGS, and iFIX, with SQL reporting and process automation.

You will collaborate with production and IT teams to capture requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver compliant manufacturing solutions while maintaining documentation

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP-Proficy Integration and shop-floor integration.
• Hands-on with GE Proficy Plant Applications, Historian, IGS, and iFIX.
• Strong SQL and data integration skills.
• Experience in change control and rollout activities.
• Excellent stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and support GE Proficy MES solutions.
• Perform ERP-Proficy integration, shop-floor system integration, and SCADA connectivity.
• Manage change requests, defect tracking, solution development, testing, deployment, and rollout activities.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, production teams, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, reports, and data integrations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing and quality processes.
• Create technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced GE Proficy MES Consultant with expertise in MES implementation, integration, and support. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience with GE Proficy Plant Applications, shop-floor integrations, SCADA systems, and manufacturing operations. The role involves solution design, development, implementation, change management, and rollout activities across manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and support GE Proficy MES (Plant Applications) solutions.
• Perform ERP-Proficy integration, shop‑floor system integration, and SCADA connectivity.
• Manage change requests, defect tracking, solution development, testing, deployment, and rollout activities.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, production teams, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Support MES applications including:
• GE Proficy Plant Applications
• Production Execution
• GE Historian
• Industrial Gateway Server (IGS)

• Develop and maintain SQL queries, reports, and data integrations.

• Ensure compliance with manufacturing and quality processes.

Required Skills

• Experience in ERP-Proficy Integration, Proficy-Shop Floor Integration, and SCADA systems.
• Strong understanding of MES concepts and manufacturing processes.

• Experience in Change Control, Tracking Requests, Solution Development, Implementation, and Rollout.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently own assigned tasks and deliver within timelines.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of ISA‑95 manufacturing standards.
• Experience in FMCG and Retail domains.
• Exposure to manufacturing digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of reporting and dashboarding tools.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 4–6 years of overall IT/Manufacturing Systems experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a global support and implementation environment.
• Self‑driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
