Job summary

TCS IAE is seeking a GE Proficy Developer to design and implement GE Proficy MES applications, OPC interfaces, and SQL data interactions. You will own day‑to‑day development, support, maintenance and deployment of GE Proficy Manufacturing Suite products across multi‑site environments.

You will work with cross‑functional teams and vendors, resolve development and rollout issues, and ensure solutions align with CPG industry processes and MES SDLC guidelines, leveraging SSRS, RDBMS skills and SCADA

Qualifications

• GE Proficy MES experience including OPC interfaces, SQL databases and scripting.
• Experience in MES deployment and multi-site rollouts across manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

• Exhaustive technical knowledge and experience in design & development of GE Proficy MES applications OPC interfaces, SQL data bases and scripting

Must Have Skills:

• GE Cimplicity, Cimplicity .NET scripting, RDBMS Skills, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Communication

Functional –

• Good understanding of CPG Industry processes
• Knowledge of process automation SDLC
• Good understanding of MESA, ISA95, etc.
• Good understanding of the manufacturing processes used in process industry and relevant IT systems
• Exposure to functions such as Inventory, Quality, Order Management, Plant Performance, etc.
• Experience in understanding Business and CPG specific KPI’s

Technical –

• Experience in Supporting, configuring & deploying GE Proficy MES suite for CPG Industries
• Experience on any of the SCADA, historians &D DB’s like SQL In memory, etc.

General –

• Experience in managing MES Implementations, Global Roll out and support programs
• Ability to work with cross functional and cross cultural teams successfully

Good to have Skills:

• Understanding of PLC, SCADA Systems, GE Cimplicity Tracker.
• Experience in process automation using any PLC, SCADA, Control IT Infrastructure
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Desire to work in an IT systems environment Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
