Ascendion Engineering is seeking a GCP Data Engineer / Production Support Analyst with 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in GCP, EDM, SQL, Python, PySpark and Airflow to support data workflows in production.

The role requires rotation shifts in a 24x7 hybrid environment with immediate joiner across multiple locations in India, focusing on troubleshooting, incident resolution and continuous data quality.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of relevant Data Engineering / Production Support experience.
• Hands-on experience with GCP and EDM.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Experience with PySpark.
• Experience working with Apache Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for GCP-based data engineering applications and pipelines.
• Support and troubleshoot data workflows involving GCP, EDM, SQL, Python, PySpark, and Airflow.
• Monitor production data pipelines and investigate failures or data-processing issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and recurring technical issues.
• Perform data validation and analysis using SQL and Python.
• Support PySpark-based data processing workloads and workflows.
• Monitor and support Airflow-based data pipelines/workflows.
• Coordinate with development and support teams for issue resolution.
• Participate in incident analysis and contribute to maintaining stable production systems.

This role requires flexibility to work in a 24x7 production support environment with rotational shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support for GCP-based data engineering applications and pipelines.

• Flexibility for a 24x7 production support model is mandatory.
