Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities :

• The GCC Manager will serve as the central operational lead for the India-based Global Capability Center, overseeing a team of 5 to 10 professionals specializing in data management, system support, MS365 PowerApps, and SAP customizing.
• This role requires managing both on-site resources in Delhi and remote team members, ensuring day-to-day operations run efficiently and in alignment with global business objectives.
• A key responsibility of the GCC Manager is to act as a direct counterpart to the Global Excellence Team and global business process owners, participating in the full development lifecycle of system improvement initiatives—from concept and development to testing, implementation, and maintenance.
• The role will also coordinate closely with local implementation partners and ensure quality control of external developments in partnership with global stakeholders.
• In addition to overseeing operations, the GCC Manager will support local hiring, onboarding, and performance management in coordination with the local Managing Director, ensuring talent is aligned with the organization’s long-term goals.
• The role includes supporting governance and compliance with local labor laws, corporate standards, and internal controls, as well as ensuring efficient vendor management and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Strategically, the GCC Manager will support the implementation of scalable and cost-effective solutions while fostering process improvement and alignment across key global functions, including Sales, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Product Management, CRM, and E-Commerce.
• While this role does not involve budget ownership for large-scale software or projects, the Manager will oversee budgeting related to training and internal capability-building.
• This position also plays a supporting role in putting processes in place and maintaining them, rather than leading large transformation projects.
• A strong focus on time management, operational discipline, and continuous improvement is expected, along with the ability to build a high-performance culture through effective team leadership and cross-functional coordination.

Job Requirements :

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in operational leadership roles within multinational or matrixed environments.
• Strong understanding of SAP, MS365, and data governance tools.
• Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High emotional intelligence and intercultural awareness.
• Analytical mindset with structured problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to drive standardization while managing local execution complexity.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); knowledge of German is a plus.
