Solar Turbines is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hydro-Mechanical Accessory Systems Engineer to support the Package & Systems Development and New Product Introduction (NPI) India team. The engineer will lead the design, development, integration, and implementation of hydro-mechanical accessory systems for industrial gas turbine packages. The role works across electrical, controls, manufacturing, and project teams to deliver safe, reliable, serviceable, and cost-effective solutions that meet technical specifications, customer requirements, industry standards, and company procedures.
Applies sound engineering fundamentals, standards, and current technologies to resolve system and product challenges.
Develops concepts, creates or modifies designs, participates in reviews, and documents design decisions.
Uses 2D schematics and 3D models to evaluate concepts; supports prototypes, tests, and production solutions.
Defines problems, compares alternatives, interprets data, and applies structured problem-solving methods.
Organizes relevant information, identifies risks and benefits, prioritizes concerns, and recommends balanced solutions.
Plans work, adapts to changing priorities, and delivers high-quality results across multiple concurrent activities.
Communicates effectively with global, cross-functional stakeholders and contributes constructive technical feedback.
The successful candidate combines strong hydro-mechanical design fundamentals with practical gas turbine package knowledge, disciplined engineering documentation, structured problem solving, and the ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams. The role requires ownership from concept through validation and field support, with a consistent focus on safety, quality, reliability, serviceability, and customer value.
