Qualifications

• ITI/technical qualification in Fitter, Welder, or relevant trade preferred.
• 13 years of experience as a Gas Cutter/Oxy-Fuel Cutter.
• Hands-on experience with gas/oxy-fuel cutting equipment.
• Knowledge of flame adjustment, gas pressure, and cutting techniques.
• Ability to read basic measurements and work instructions.
• Knowledge of workplace safety and PPE.
• Experience in fabrication/metal workshop will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate gas cutting torches to cut metal plates, sheets, pipes, and other components.
• Perform oxy-fuel/gas cutting as per required dimensions and specifications.
• Set and adjust gas pressure, flame, and cutting equipment properly.
• Mark and measure materials before cutting.
• Ensure accurate and clean cutting with minimum material wastage.
• Remove slag and perform basic grinding/deburring after cutting.
• Inspect cut pieces for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain and clean gas cutting equipment and work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Handle gas cylinders, hoses, regulators, and cutting equipment safely.
