Job summary

Standard Furniture Mart, based in Dehradun, invites a part-time furniture design professional to join our design workshop. You will analyze client needs and convert them into detailed furniture designs and layouts using AutoCAD and related tools.

You will collaborate with carpenters, operations, architects, and contractors to ensure designs are feasible, compliant, and aligned with our standards. This is a part-time/contractual/freelance role in a design-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must (SketchUp, Rhino, or Fusion 360 are a bonus)
• Eye for design, proportion, detailing, and materials
• Strong understanding of furniture construction methods & ergonomics
• Clear communicator, proactive, and willing to take ownership
• Undergrad in furniture design, interior design or a related field
• A working knowledge of furniture ergonomics & joinery

Responsibilities
