Job summary

Mittal Aluminium Extrustion Pvt Ltd in Maharashtra seeks an experienced Furnace Incharge to lead the Aluminium Billet Heating Furnace Department, manage gas/oil fired furnaces, and ensure temperature control and cycle timing.

You will monitor parameters, drive energy efficiency, coordinate with extrusion, production, quality and maintenance teams, and train shift personnel to meet production and safety targets.

• 512 years in Aluminium Extrusion / Aluminium Billet Heating / Furnace Operations

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for Aluminium Billet Heating Furnace Department.
• Manage and monitor Gas/Oil Fired Billet Heating Furnaces.
• Ensure proper billet heating temperature, soaking time and temperature uniformity.
• Control furnace parameters as per Aluminium / Billet grade requirements.
• Plan daily furnace operations as per extrusion production requirements.
• Monitor Furnace Temperature, Gas Consumption, Fuel Consumption & Heating Cycle.
• Ensure optimum furnace efficiency and minimize fuel/gas wastage.
• Coordinate with Extrusion, Production, Quality & Maintenance Departments.
• Handle furnace operators, helpers and shift manpower.
• Prepare and monitor shift-wise production and furnace reports.
• Troubleshoot furnace-related process issues and coordinate with maintenance team.
• Ensure proper furnace start-up, shutdown and operating procedures.
• Maintain process discipline and implement 5S, Safety & SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and work instructions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, energy saving and productivity improvement.
• Train and guide furnace operators for safe and efficient operation.
• Responsible for achieving department production, quality, efficiency and safety targets.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 512 years in Aluminium Extrusion / Aluminium Billet Heating / Furnace Operations
• Should have strong experience in Aluminium Extrusion Industry
• Experience as Furnace Incharge / Furnace Head / Furnace Supervisor / Furnace Shift Incharge preferred
• Strong knowledge of Billet Heating Process
• Knowledge of Aluminium alloys and billet heating requirements
• Experience in Gas Fired / Oil Fired / Induction Furnace operations will be an advantage
• Good manpower handling and shift management skills
• Good knowledge of furnace troubleshooting and process control
• Ability to independently handle the Furnace Department
