Job summary

Odisha Development Management Programme (ODMP) invites applications for a 1-week virtual fundraising internship. You will lead outreach and awareness to mobilize support for marginalized waste pickers and families, gaining hands-on experience in cause-based communication and campaign management.

Selected interns will plan a 7-day fundraising campaign, reach networks, and develop engaging digital content, with daily progress tracking and ODMP supervision.

About the internship:

We are inviting applications for a 1-week virtual fundraising internship. In this role, you will lead outreach and awareness initiatives to mobilize financial support for marginalized waste pickers and their families. This internship offers practical experience in cause-based communication, public relations, and campaign management, while making a tangible difference at the grassroots level.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Plan and execute a 7-day outreach and fundraising campaign dedicated to supporting waste picker communities.
• Reach out to personal, academic, and social networks to spread awareness about the challenges faced by waste pickers and advocate for their welfare.
• Connect with potential donors and supporters to actively mobilize contributions for the cause.
• Develop clear and engaging communication materials, posts, and messages for digital platforms to drive campaign visibility.
• Maintain and update daily records of outreach initiatives, community engagement, and funds raised.
• Coordinate with the ODMP team for campaign guidance, progress updates, and reporting.

About Company:

Odisha Development Management Programme (ODMP) is a registered network of grassroots NGOs, environmentalists, and academicians who got birth out of the emotion of civic movement during and after the post-super-cyclone in 1999 in Odisha. In the year 2001, ODMP took its steps onward from the Puri district. 51 NGOs from 11 blocks joined with ODMP as the partners of the UNICEF and RD department, Government of Odisha, supported the water and sanitation program of Puri District. ODMP successfully implemented the program from the financial year 2001-02 to 2003-04 as the district nodal agency and received state & national level appreciations.

In 2005, ODMP expanded its involvement in the development and environmental context in other districts of Odisha. Nirmal Srikhetra Aviyan is an environmental drive of Puri city regarding solid and hospital waste management supported by UNDP-SGP-GEF & GIZ, and RKS, the district headquarters hospital, Puri, implemented with ODMP's leadership.
