Job summary

Citco in Mumbai seeks a Fund Accountant to administer hedge fund client portfolios, review handovers, and prepare NAVs and financial reports. The role requires analytical skills and familiarity with financial services workflows.

The candidate should have 2–3 years of experience in financial services, with a strong interest in hedge funds, and proficient MS Office skills. The position is based in Mumbai with on-site work expectations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance-related area and/or studying for a professional qualification.
• 2-3 years of experience in Financial Services with high volume operational environment and/ or hedge fund industry is an advantage.
• Display an active interest in the financial markets and hedge fund industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform administration of administration agreements for hedge fund clients.
• Consolidation and validation review of handovers across teams and locations.
• Prepare and/or review Net Asset Value calculations, financial statements and reports.
• Value hedge fund portfolio holdings.
• Analyze fund performance and prepare P&L reports.
• Own assigned work and ensure timely completion per client service agreements.
• Escalate priority issues to supervisor promptly and with detail.
• Maintain day-to-day relationships with Citco COE and other teams.
• Support queries from clients, auditors, and advisors.
• Maintain understanding of best practice policies and client agreements.
• Support training of new fund accountants and onboarding of new clients.

Your Role:

• Performing the administration of and any services pursuant to administration agreements in respect of a portfolio of hedge fund clients;
• Consolidation and validation review of functional handovers across teams and locations
• Preparation and/or review of Net Asset Value calculations, financial statements and associated reports
• Valuation of hedge fund portfolio holdings
• Analysis of fund performance and prepare performance/P and L related reports
• Demonstrate ownership of assigned work and ensure timely completion, in line with demanding client service agreements
• Escalate priority issues to supervisor and/or assistant vice president in a timely and detailed manner
• Maintaining day-to-day relationships with Citco Internal COE and non-COE teams including Operational Support, Middle Office, Pricing, Investor Relations and Relationship Management Fund Accounting teams
• Support queries from external parties, including clients, auditors and other advisors
• Maintain a current and thorough understanding of applicable best practice policies and client specific agreements.
• Support training of new fund accountants and on-boarding of new clients and/or funds to Citco
• Assist supervisor and/or assistant vice president as required
• Contribute to team and/or departmental initiatives
