Job summary

Apex Group is seeking a dedicated fund accounting professional in Gurugram to manage private equity and hybrid funds, from journal entries to month-end NAV and investor reporting. You will coordinate with onshore teams, clients, and auditors to ensure timely financials and accurate reporting.

Ideal candidates have CA qualifications and strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and fund documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
• Experience in financial preparation and auditing of financial statements during articles.
• Understanding of alternate investment funds and capital markets.
• Analytical skill to read and interpret fund documents.
• CA qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform fund accounting for private equity and hybrid funds: journal entries, monthly/quarterly/annual financials, payments, investor notices and client reporting.
• Manage client relationships for funds and deliverables on daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
• Liaise with onshore team, clients and auditors to ensure financials are approved on schedule.
• Onboard new funds and migrate existing funds across locations.
• Develop customized reports in Investran to support client requirements.
• Manage multiple client relationships.
• On ad-hoc client requests and fund-related tasks.
• Manage fund-related bank wires for clients.
• Prepare cash/position/market value reconciliations and resolve breaks; notify clients/CSMs of breaks.
• Review portfolio pricing and pricing exceptions.
• Accrue/amortize daily or monthly non-security fee accruals (management/financing fees).
• Communicate effectively with clients on daily reporting of estimates/NAVs.
• Ensure OTC products traded are booked correctly.
• Book capital activities of the fund.
• Finalize month-end NAV and provide investor-level allocation reports.
• Support audits for funds and track issues through closure.
• Support operations on automation/work migrations/conversions.
