Job summary

Apex Group in Mumbai is seeking a Fund Accountant with 2–3 years of experience to manage portfolio activity input, reconciliations and NAV preparation for hedge fund clients. You will handle daily cash/trade reconciliations and support client reporting and pricing analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience in fund accounting or similar role.
• Solid accounting knowledge and principles.
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel especially).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and capture portfolio activities (trades, fees, corporate actions, forex) with NAV calculations.
• Perform daily reconciliations (Cash, Trade, Market value).
• Validate and justify reconciliation breaks at fund level for NAVs.
• Update monthly client factsheets in the client database.
• Review and prepare hedge fund NAVs on a monthly basis.
• Analyze pricing and investigate pricing exceptions.

Fund Accounting Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for processing and capturing various portfolio activities such as trades, fees, corporate actions and forex into the system with detailed Valuation and Investor Allocation Reconciliation with admin data.
• Responsible for daily reconciliations- Cash/Trade/Market value Reconciliations.
• Ensures all reconciliation breaks ( Cash & Trades) are validated and justified for each calculated NAV at Fund level.
• Updating and Uploading Monthly Factsheet on the Client Database as per client deliverables.
• Responsible to review/prepare the NAVs of the hedge fund clients on Monthly basis.
• Reviewing pricing of the portfolio and analysing the pricing exceptions if any.
