Job Overview:

TESCRA India is seeking a skilled Functional Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our trade finance applications within the banking industry. This role involves designing, executing, and analyzing test cases to identify and report software defects. The Functional Tester will work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing of trade finance applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and verify bug fixes.
• Participate in requirements gathering and analysis to ensure testability.
• Maintain and update test documentation, including test cases and test results.
• Work within an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning and review meetings.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proven experience as a Functional Tester with at least 3 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and processes.
• Experience in testing trade finance applications or banking systems.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
