Configuration: Perform system setup, configuration, and parameter adjustments within D365 F&O to meet approved business requirements and align with the Global Template standards.
Fit‑Gap Analysis Support: Assist the System Integrator (SI) and the Project Manager in conducting detailed Fit‑Gap analysis sessions during regional rollouts, specifically focusing on validating the Global Template against local statutory and legal requirements.
Customization Definition: Author clear and detailed functional design documents (FDDs) for approved customizations, reports, integrations, and extensions, serving as the interface between business needs and the technical development team.
2. Quality Assurance & Documentation
Testing: Develop, execute, and document test scenarios, scripts, and results for Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate configuration and customizations.
Data Migration: Collaborate with technical teams on data migration strategy and execution, including data mapping, cleansing, and validation for assigned modules.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive functional documentation, including configuration guides, process flows, training materials, and module standard operating procedures (SOPs).
3. User Support & Training
Post‑Go‑Live Support: Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 functional support for assigned modules, troubleshooting issues, determining root causes (configuration vs. code), and liaising with the technical team for resolution.
Training Delivery: Conduct and support end‑user training sessions, both in‑person and remotely, ensuring users are proficient in new processes and system functionalities.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and standardization within D365 F&O to increase efficiency and user experience across rollouts.
Qualifications:
Required Technical & Functional Skills
D365 Expertise: Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience as a Functional Consultant specializing in D365 F&O, with in‑depth knowledge of configuration and business processes within key modules (e.g., AP, AR, GL, Inventory Management).
Implementation Lifecycle: Proven experience participating in at least one full‑cycle D365 F&O implementation and subsequent rollouts.
Business Process Mapping: Ability to read and understand 'As-Is' and 'To‑Be' process maps and translate business requirements into system functionality.
Relational Database Concepts: Basic understanding of database structures and data entities within D365 to facilitate effective troubleshooting and reporting.
Microsoft Certifications: Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification (e.g., MB-300, MB-500) is highly desirable.
Desired Non‑Technical Competencies
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with business stakeholders, technical developers, and external partners.
Analytical Thinking: Strong capacity to analyze complex business problems and translate them into simple, structured system solutions.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to configuration and documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency across different instances.
Cultural Adaptability: Ability to work effectively within diverse, international project teams and adapt training and communication styles for different regional user groups.
