Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on fund accounting experience in Private Equity, Private Credit, or Hedge Funds.
• Experience in gathering requirements, documenting functional specifications, and supporting system implementation and testing.
• Strong SQL-based data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
• Experience with SIT/UAT and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements, BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Understand fund accounting processes (NAV, valuations, capital calls, distributions, fees, accruals, reconciliations).
• Collaborate with business users, developers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver functional solutions.
• Perform SQL-based data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
• Support system integrations, SIT, UAT, defect tracking, and release validation.
• Analyze functional issues and recommend process improvements.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Functional Business Analyst with hands-on fund accounting experience in Private Equity, Private Credit, or Hedge Funds. The candidate will bridge business and technology teams, gather requirements, document functional specifications, and support system implementation and testing.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and document business requirements, BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Understand fund accounting processes, including NAV calculation, valuations, capital calls, distributions, management fees, accruals, and reconciliations.

Work with business users, developers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver functional solutions.

Perform SQL-based data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.

Support system integrations, SIT, UAT, defect tracking, and release validation.

Analyze functional issues and recommend process improvements.

Required Skills

experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Business Analyst.

Mandatory fund accounting experience in Private Equity, Private Credit, or Hedge Funds.

Strong understanding of fund accounting workflows and financial reporting.

Experience in requirements gathering, functional documentation, and stakeholder management.

Working knowledge of SQL, data mapping, and reconciliation.

Experience with SIT/UAT and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to fund accounting platforms such as Geneva, Investran, eFront, or Allvue.

Experience in fund accounting system implementation or data migration projects.
