Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Functional Architect for o9-based supply chain planning in a hybrid Bengaluru role. You will design and implement master planning, analytics, and MEIO capabilities for make-to-stock and configure-to-order operations in a high-tech global environment.

The role requires 7–10 years in supply chain planning, deep o9 expertise, and strong Python skills to prototype models and support decision-making.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of experience in supply chain planning solutions with a focus on functional architecture and design in enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise in o9 supply chain master planning including configuration, scenario design and integration with upstream and downstream systems.
• Practical experience in o9 supply chain analytics with ability to define key metrics, dashboards and guide users on interpreting insights for daily decisions.
• Knowledge of o9 MEIO concepts such as safety stock modeling, service level targeting, and multi-echelon policies for high-tech product portfolios.
• Solid proficiency in Python for data analysis, prototyping algorithms and supporting complex planning logic within o9 platforms.
• Domain understanding of make to stock and configure to order models in the high-tech industry, including product lifecycles and configuration complexity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to work in hybrid, global teams.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end supply chain planning solutions in o9 that optimize inventory, service levels and capacity for MTS and configure-to-order operations.
• Translate complex business needs into detailed o9 functional designs for implementation by technical teams.
• Configure o9 master planning modules to support demand, supply and scenario planning aligned with enterprise cycles.
• Develop functional designs and validation rules for o9 analytics providing dashboards, alerts and insights.
• Apply o9 MEIO to define multi-echelon inventory strategies balancing working capital and risk across networks.
• Use Python to prototype models, perform data validation and create reference calculators for what-if analysis.
• Collaborate with data engineering to define data requirements, mapping rules and data quality checks.
• Partner with stakeholders to design planning calendars, control towers and exception workflows.
• Document designs, processes, and user guides to facilitate adoption and reduce support dependence.
• Provide hypercare and ongoing support, monitoring issues and tuning configurations for performance.
• Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics and finance to ensure outputs align with enterprise objectives.
• Advise on best practices in digital planning and analytics adoption to deliver measurable value.

Responsibilities

• Design end to end supply chain planning solutions in o9 platforms that optimize inventory service levels and capacity for make to stock and configure to order operations in the high tech domain
• Translate complex business needs from supply chain planners and domain experts into detailed o9 functional designs that can be implemented by technical teams without ambiguity
• Configure o9 supply chain master planning modules to support demand planning supply planning and scenario planning that align with enterprise planning cycles and decision forums
• Develop functional designs and validation rules for o9 supply chain analytics that provide clear performance dashboards alerts and insights to planners and executives
• Apply o9 MEIO capabilities to define multi echelon inventory strategies that balance working capital service risk and supply uncertainty across global networks
• Use Python to prototype analytical models perform data validation and create reference calculators that support complex planning logic and what if analysis within o9 solutions
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data requirements mapping rules and quality checks that ensure the integrity of demand supply and inventory data used by o9 applications
• Partner with business stakeholders to design planning calendars control towers and exception workflows that improve planner productivity and decision accuracy in day to day operations
• Conduct functional testing user acceptance testing and regression testing for o9 use cases to ensure that new releases and enhancements maintain stability and expected business outcomes
• Document solution designs process flows and user guides in clear and structured formats that help planners adopt new capabilities and reduce dependency on support teams
• Provide hypercare and ongoing functional support for o9 platforms by monitoring issues prioritizing fixes and fine tuning configurations to improve solution performance over time
• Coordinate with cross functional teams from procurement manufacturing logistics and finance to ensure that o9 planning outputs are actionable and align with enterprise objectives
