Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional Fullstack development experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Frontend framework expertise (React/Angular/Vue) and ecosystem.
• Strong HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience building complex, data-intensive UIs and real-time data visualization.
• Frontend performance optimization, lazy loading, caching strategies.
• Experience with state management solutions (Redux, MobX, Zustand).
• Proficiency in unit/integration/e2e testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
• Understanding of APIs, REST/GraphQL, system design for scalable apps.
• At least 2 years leading or managing a Fullstack team.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Fullstack Team Lead (m/f/d) based in India.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced Fullstack Engineer who enjoys combining technical ownership with team leadership. You will lead a team responsible for high-impact, user-facing applications and interfaces within a large-scale technology platform. The role combines architecture, coding, mentoring, and delivery management, with a strong focus on modern JavaScript/TypeScript development. You will translate complex product requirements into high-performance, data-rich user experiences while helping the team maintain a strong delivery rhythm. AI-assisted engineering is an important part of the role, with opportunities to integrate coding agents, automated testing, and AI-first interface patterns into everyday development. You will work closely with Product, Design, QA, Backend, and other technical teams in a fast-moving, international environment.

Accountabilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Fullstack Engineers while fostering strong standards around quality, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Remain actively involved in development by writing production code, reviewing pull requests, troubleshooting complex issues, and establishing engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Backend, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into cohesive, scalable, and user-focused features.
• Define and drive Fullstack technical strategy, architecture, engineering practices, and roadmap priorities for large-scale applications.
• Break down product roadmaps into actionable engineering initiatives and maintain a high-velocity, predictable delivery cadence.
• Manage competing priorities and balance feature development, technical debt, engineering quality, and long-term scalability.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and support the growth of Fullstack engineering talent.
• Integrate AI-powered coding agents and LLM-based testing into daily development workflows, leading by example in the practical adoption of AI-assisted engineering.
• Help design and implement AI-first UI patterns, including generative and prompt-driven interfaces in collaboration with AI/ML platform teams.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions involving APIs, frontend systems, backend services, and system integration.
• Drive code quality through reviews, testing practices, reusable components, and continuous improvement of development processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional Fullstack development experience, with significant experience using modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Deep expertise in at least one major frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Vue and its broader ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and modern frontend engineering practices.
• Experience building complex, data-intensive user interfaces and real-time data visualization experiences.
• Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, including bundle size, rendering, lazy loading, caching, and related techniques.
• Experience with state management solutions such as Redux, MobX, Zustand, or comparable technologies.
• Proficiency in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools such as Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with design systems and component library development.
• Strong understanding of APIs, RESTful services, GraphQL, system design, and scalable application architecture.
• At least 2 years of experience directly leading or managing a Fullstack engineering team is required.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers, conduct meaningful code reviews, and provide effective technical guidance.
• Experience defining Fullstack architecture for large-scale applications and balancing technical debt against delivery requirements.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar solutions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to operate effectively in environments characterized by ambiguity, rapid change, and frequent iteration.
• A preference for reusable, scalable solutions rather than one-off implementations, combined with a practical approach to balancing engineering quality and speed.
• Nice to have: experience with ad-tech, real-time bidding, high-traffic data products, AI/ML-powered interfaces, LLM APIs, prompt-driven UI patterns, or open-source Fullstack projects.
