Job summary

VMD Consultancy is seeking a senior developer to design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform using Angular and Python. You will implement data connections to BigQuery and PostgreSQL, while delivering responsive UIs and automated CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Hands-on development experience required; should have worked on development projects.
• Strong API design and optimization experience with cloud-based apps.
• Cloud experience with either Azure or AWS is acceptable; GCP preferred.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL with SQL and data handling skills.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy applications on Google Cloud Platform using Angular and Python.
• Connect to BigQuery and SQL databases for efficient data retrieval and storage.

Mandatory Tech Stack:

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, development, and deployment of applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Angular/Python
• Implement and manage connections to BigQuery and SQL databases, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.
• Develop responsive and dynamic user interfaces using angular, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.
• Design, implement, and maintain Jenkins/Tekton pipelines for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes, ensuring smooth and automated deployment cycles.
• Implement and adhere to Software Craftsmanship tools for maintaining code quality and integrity
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, APIs, and development processes
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and automated tests to ensure the reliability and robustness. Debug and resolve issues as they arise.

Required Skills

• Candidates must have strong hands-on development experience and should have worked primarily on development projects, not support projects.
• Strong experience in building and optimizing APIs
• Cloud: Any one of Azure or AWS with good hands-on experience
• Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL / PostgreSQL SQL
• Candidates should be able to demonstrate their actual contribution to development, API design, optimization, and cloud-based applications.
