Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• MERN Development: Design, build, and maintain web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
• LAMP Development: Develop and maintain PHP/Laravel applications on a traditional LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), including ERP modules and internal tools.
• Database Engineering: Design relational schemas, write efficient queries, and manage migrations across MySQL/SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• AI Pipeline / GenAI Integration: Assist in integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar), building basic RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) workflows, working with vector databases, and wiring AI features into existing products.
• API Development: Build and consume RESTful APIs connecting frontend, backend, and third-party services.
• Code Quality: Participate in code reviews, write clean and testable code, and follow Git-based version control workflows.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Developer, QA, and Engineering Manager in an agile environment, contributing to sprint planning and estimation.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Debug production issues, optimize performance, and support deployed applications.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 23 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• MERN Stack: Solid hands-on experience with MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
• LAMP Stack: Working experience with PHP, ideally with the Laravel framework, deployed on Apache/Linux environments.
• Databases: Strong SQL fundamentals with practical experience in both MySQL and PostgreSQL — schema design, joins, indexing, and query optimization.
• AI/GenAI Exposure: Some exposure to AI/LLM tooling — this could be personal projects, coursework, or production work: calling LLM APIs, prompt engineering, embeddings, or basic RAG pipelines.
• Tooling: Comfortable with Git, REST API design, and basic Linux command-line usage.
• Adaptability: Ability to work across two different tech stacks (MERN and LAMP) without needing constant hand-holding.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
