Job summary

CGI is seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join our team in Hyderabad. The role focuses on building scalable, resilient, and high-performance enterprise applications while providing technical leadership across the SDLC.

Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, microservices, cloud-native development, automated testing, and DevOps practices is required. You will collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions that meet client needs

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with ReactJS and modern frontend development.
• Strong knowledge of REST API development and integration patterns.
• Experience with SQL databases and database optimization.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Strong understanding of application security and secure development practices.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Jest.
• Experience implementing unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing strategies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop scalable backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Design and implement modern frontend applications using ReactJS and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks including unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.
• Design, develop, and manage RESTful APIs and enterprise integration services.
• Work with relational databases and optimize data access and performance.
• Implement and support messaging and event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
• Ensure application security by implementing industry-standard security controls and secure coding practices.
• Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrated with testing and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to deploy and support applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and test reviews to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Mentor and guide junior developers and technical team members.
• Drive best practices in software engineering, DevOps, quality assurance, and automation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the application stack.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
