Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are looking for an Electrician to join our team on our construction site. You should be an expert in simple as well as complex electrical systems.

As an Electrician, your duties include

• Installand maintain all electrical equipment which includes power points,intercoms and power control systems.

Responsibilities

• Installand repair the electrical wires and other equipment.
  
• Analyzethe operation of electrical grids and make sure all work properly.
  
• Handlepower equipment and other tools.
  
• Operatethe machines installed at the site.
  
• Researchabout the function and operation of new machines, if required.
  
• Readthe electrical blueprints and work accordingly.
  
• Ensurethat the machines work properly before they are installed.

• Replaceold electrical wires and insulated cables, clean circuits, etc.

• Layingout and running main power lines and circuitry through walls, floors, andceilings according to electrical plans.
  
• Installingsafety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors,circuit-breaker panels).
  
• Connectingwiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring proper connectionsand adherence to specifications.
  
• Mayinvolve specialized installations like CCTV systems, alarm systems, andother smart infrastructure components.
  
• Blueprint Reading and Interpretation:
  
• Thoroughlyreading and interpreting electrical blueprints, technical diagrams,schematics, and construction plans to determine circuit, installationdetails, and component placement.
  
• Translatingtechnical documentation into practical on-site execution.
  
• Troubleshooting and Repair:
  
• Diagnosingand resolving electrical faults and malfunctions in systems and equipment(e.g., flickering lights, tripped breakers, unusual sounds).
  
• Usingspecialized tools (multimeters, voltage testers, etc.) to identify issuesand implement effective solutions.
  
• Repairingor replacing faulty wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
  
• Performingpreventive maintenance to identify potential issues early and ensurecontinuous operation.
  
• Safety and Compliance:
  
• Ensuringall installations, maintenance, and repairs meet national and localelectrical codes, safety standards, and regulations (e.g., NationalElectrical Code - NEC, Indian Electricity Rules).
  
• Adheringto strict safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents (electricshocks, fires).
  
• Conductingregular inspections and tests (e.g., grounding systems, electrical panelinstallations) to verify compliance and identify hazards.
  

Requirements

• Degree/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  
• Trainedthrough an apprenticeship program as an Electrician will be preferred.
  
• Professionalcertification in safety management and national electric codes is a pluspoint.
