Job summary

PUCAR is seeking a versatile full stack developer to design, build and maintain high-performance web applications using Python, Django, React and PostgreSQL. You will integrate modern AI capabilities and autonomous AI agents into workflows to drive intelligent automation.

Location: Ahmedabad-based role requiring relocation if needed. Experience with DevOps and deployments is a strong plus as you will contribute across backend, frontend, and AI integration areas.

Qualifications

About the role

We are looking for a versatile full stack developer to design, build and maintain high-performance web applications using Python, Django, React and PostgreSQL. In addition to core web engineering, you will play a central role in integrating modern AI capabilities and autonomous AI agents into our workflows to drive intelligent automation. Experience with DevOps practices and deployments is a strong plus.

Location

This role is based in Ahmedabad, and you must live in or be willing to relocate to the city.

Key responsibilities

• Backend development: architect, build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and backend services using Python and Django.
• Database management: model, optimise and manage relational databases using PostgreSQL; write efficient queries and manage migrations.
• AI and agent integration: design and deploy AI-driven features, leveraging LLM APIs, prompt engineering, structured outputs and autonomous AI agent frameworks to extend product functionality.
• System architecture and quality: ensure end-to-end system reliability, security, clean code practices and comprehensive test coverage.

Requirements and qualifications

• 3 years of experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and the Django web framework
• Solid experience building modern web interfaces with React
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL schema design, complex queries and performance tuning
• Demonstrated experience building with AI, LLMs and AI agents (e.g. function calling, retrieval/RAG workflows, agentic automation)
• Familiarity with asynchronous tasks and queues (e.g. Celery, Redis) and REST API standards

Nice to have

• DevOps experience: hands-on knowledge of Docker containerisation, CI/CD pipelines and cloud platform infrastructure (e.g. AWS, GCP or NIC Cloud)
• Experience with vector databases and semantic search implementations
• Understanding of security best practices, authentication protocols and API gateway configurations
