Job summary

Barclays in Pune seeks a Full Stack Engineer to build and evolve software infrastructure and deployment pipelines, delivering robust, secure digital solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Java, SpringBoot and microservices.
• Experience with Angular front-end development and REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, Mongo).
• Familiarity with DevSecOps tools (OpenShift, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jira, SonarQube).
• Experience with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and messaging systems (Kafka, IBM MQ).
• Exposure to AI model integration in rapid development cycles.
• Computer Science degree or equivalent.

Join us as a Full Stack Engineer where you will spearhead the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable and secure infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of our digital solutions.

To be successful as a Full Stack Engineer you should have experience with:

• Back-end technologies - Java, SpringBoot, Junit, Rest, MicroServices TDD (test driven development).
• Front-end technologies – Angular.
• Database Technologies SQL and NoSQL – Oracle / Mongo.
• DevSecOps - PaaS Openshift / K8S, GitLab, JIRA, SonarQube, Prisma and Wiz
• Maven or Gradle.
• Working knowledge of message queue like Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, etc.
• Experience of Rapid Application Development using AI models like Claude, GitLab Duo.
• Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding of Computer Science, Object Oriented Design and Data Structures.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
