Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Full Stack Developer to drive the evolution of our Commercial Issuing domain. You will develop robust, scalable, and secure applications using Java/Spring Boot, middleware APIs, and modern frontend frameworks.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, secure coding, and collaboration with cross-functional teams from Pune. You will work on Microservices architectures, integrate Kafka/MQ messaging, and utilize DevOps practices with Jenkins and GitLab.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in developing frontend and backend applications as Full stack developer.
• Proficiency in developing middleware / backend API’s using Java & REST APIs with Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in Java-based applications, API’s using Spring Framework including Core Spring, Data/JPA, Hibernate.
• Proficiency in developing Microservices with Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, MQ.
• Strong coding practices and exception handling.
• UI development with React JS/Angular JS and relational/no-SQL databases (MS-SQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
• CI/CD and DevOps with Jenkins, GitLab; code quality tools like SonarQube, Veracode, Maven/Gradle, Git.

You will harness cutting‑edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable and secure application, ensuring seamless delivery of our Issuing products .

To be successful as a Full Stack Developer, you should have experience with:

• Proficiency in developing frontend and backend applications as Full stack developer.
• Proficiency in developing middleware / backend API’s/applications using Java & REST API’s using Spring boot.
• Proficiency in developing Java based applications, API’s using Spring framework including knowledge across Core Spring Framework, Sprint boot, Spring Security, ORM, JPA, Hibernate, Unit testing
• Proficiency in developing Microservices, Schedulers, standalone app using Java/Spring boot
• Good hands‑on experience on Kafka , MQ
• Good hands‑on experience of Standard coding practices, Error/Exception handling.
• Good working knowledge on Developing UI with React JS/Angular JS
• Good working knowledge on Relational and no‑SQL Databases of MS‑SQL, Oracle and MongoDB
• Good working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD using Jenkins, GitLab
• Good working knowledge of code quality tools like SonarQube, Veracode, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, GIT, Gitlab etc,

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
