Job summary

Gemburg is hiring a Jr. Full Stack Developer / Sr. Full Stack Developer for a Chennai onsite role with direct payroll at an established NBFC fintech product client. You will build production APIs using Python, FastAPI and Django, and own full-stack systems end-to-end in a fault-tolerant environment.

You will work with REST/GraphQL/gRPC, WebSockets, and Kafka, while shaping data models in PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB. Strong focus on CI/CD, observability, security, and Agile practices applies.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of software development with at least 4 years owning full-stack systems.
• Proven track record of shipping high-availability production systems.
• Expert in Python with FastAPI and Django for production APIs.
• Strong relational and document databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Experience with architectural patterns and API lifecycles (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Observability and SLOs; secure coding practices (OWASP).
• Mentor juniors; agile/scrum; code reviews and RFCs.

Jr. Full Stack Developer / Sr. Full Stack Developer

Location : Chennai - Onsite ( All 5 Days Work from Office)

Client Name : Established NBFC -Fintech Product (Direct client payroll)

• Back-end: FastAPI, Django, NodeJS.
• APIs: REST, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets, Kafka / event-driven patterns.
• Infra & ops: Docker, Kubernetes, NGINX, GitHub Actions / Jenkins / ArgoCD.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years owning full-stack systems end to end.
• Proven track record of designing and shipping high-availability, fault-tolerant systems serving real production traffic.
• Expert in Python with strong command of FastAPI and Django for building production APIs and back-office tooling.
• Strong relational and document database skills - PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB - including schema design, indexing and query optimization.
• Hands-on with architectural patterns (MVP, MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Hexagonal) and the judgement to pick the right one for the problem.
• Expert in API lifecycle management across REST, WebSockets, streaming, gRPC and GraphQL - with versioning, contracts and deprecation strategy.
• Solid OOP, functional and asynchronous programming foundations; comfortable with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD.
• Owns observability for their services - structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing and meaningful SLOs.
• Drives secure coding practices - OWASP Top 10, secrets handling, authentication / authorization patterns and PII handling under DPDP.
• Conducts code reviews, design reviews, RFCs and post-mortems; sets engineering standards within the pod.
• Mentors junior engineers, runs paired programming, demos and brown-bag sessions.
• Works in Agile / Scrum; refines stories, estimates, manages dependencies and unblocks the team.
