Job summary

Charles Schwab India is expanding its Advisor Services technology team in Hyderabad. The role focuses on hands-on software development across the full lifecycle, delivering high-quality web applications while collaborating with product owners and stakeholders.

You will contribute to feature delivery, code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and implementing automated testing to ensure robust software releases in a Fortune 500 environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building web-enabled applications using HTML, JavaScript, CSS and Angular.
• .NET web and service development using C#.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and automated deployment pipelines.
• Unit testing principles and API test automation techniques.
• Experience enhancing application support and security in production.
• Ability to design scalable, business-aligned software solutions.

Responsibilities

In Advisor Services technology we are seeking a driven, results-oriented Software Development Engineers who share our passion for technology, innovation, and excellence. This role combines hands‑on coding with support for the team’s technical delivery, working alongside engineers responsible for the full software development lifecycle and the timely delivery of high-quality product releases.

What you have

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to define approach and scope of software requirements (decompose stories, design and implement features)
• Deliver new features, working alongside development peers in an agile environment
• Serve as an informal leader helping with code reviews and mentoring junior team members
• Utilize AI and other automated software test tools and frameworks such as test‑driven development to achieve the highest quality in software delivery.
• Support and triage issues and participate in production support to help develop resilient and secure systems to prevent issues that impact our clients.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and implementing applications, particularly web-enabled applications using: HTML, Javascript, CSS, Angular. .NET web and service development using C#
• Solid understanding in web application environments and development tools, session state management, web configuration and deployment strategies, security and performance tuning, and debugging methodologies.
• Comfortable with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts, unit testing principles and implementations, API test automation techniques as well as automated deployment pipeline tools
• Develops solutions and coordinates with teams to enhance application support
• Enhances processes to ensure legal and ethical data compliance
• Innovates solutions that strengthen incident response and mitigate outcomes
• Generates effective QA testing solutions that boost operational performance and product integrity
• Enhances business outcomes by partnering with teams to organize and prioritize requirements
• Develops security solutions that meet business requirements
• Develops software solutions that align with design principles and business objectives
• Optimizes software development testing and verification to enhance component reliability and address operational problems
• Leads packaging and orchestration to efficiently deliver software deployments
• Delivers scalable, business-aligned system design solutions through predictive or adaptive approaches
