Job summary

Zensar seeks a versatile developer to join our Bengaluru team. You will contribute to frontend features using React and modern JavaScript, while building robust Python backends with REST APIs. You will design relational schemas, optimize queries, and assist in system design for scalable solutions.

Ideal candidates have experience with API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI), version control, and basic DevOps concepts. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficient in frontend with JavaScript and React, including hooks and state management.
• Strong backend skills in Python and building REST APIs with FastAPI or Flask.
• Relational DB experience with schema design, joins, indexing, and query optimization.
• Ability to design scalable systems and apply analytical problem solving.

Role & responsibilities

Frontend

• Strong JavaScript fundamentals (ES6+, async/await, closures)
• React experience preferred (hooks, state management, component architecture)

Backend

• Proficient in Python, writing production-grade code
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or Flask for building REST APIs

Database

• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or equivalent)
• Good understanding of schema design, joins, indexing, and query optimization

Architecture & Problem Solving

• Ability to think through system design and build scalable solutions
• Strong analytical mindset to break down complex or ambiguous problems

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience with Claude Code or other AI-assisted development tools extra points for this
