Job summary

Avathon Bangalore is seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to join the Platform team. You will help build our core infrastructure and commercialize domain apps using a modern MFE architecture, Django/PostgreSQL microservices, and AI tooling to accelerate development.

You will work with global teams to expand the backend data tier, enforce robust identity/access control, and enable event-driven webhooks. A strong React/Python background and startup‑minded collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field with strong fundamentals.
• 4+ years of experience building and deploying scalable full‑stack apps; startup exp is a plus.
• Proficiency in React 18, TypeScript, Redux Toolkit, React Router v7, and React Hook Form + Zod.
• Strong Python/Django 5.x, PostgreSQL, and API design (REST and GraphQL).
• Experience using AI tools (Copilot, Claude) to accelerate coding and testing.
• GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and agile software development tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect the Platform using a decoupled MFE architecture to enable scalable deployments.
• Lead integrations, such as DMA Government app into the Avathon Platform as standardized MFEs.
• Develop AI‑driven features interacting with AI Model Garden APIs and the Central Knowledge Graph.
• Maximize developer velocity with reusable patterns and AI tooling to move from prototype to production.
• Collaborate with global teams to extend backend data tier, including IAM and event‑driven webhooks.

Avathon is an enterprise-grade native AI and data platform designed to unify multiple complex applications under a single pane of glass. We are moving beyond legacy monoliths into a highly scalable, decoupled Micro Front-End (MFE) architecture powered by a Central Knowledge Graph (CKG).

As a Full Stack Engineer on the Platform team, you will be instrumental in building our core infrastructure and commercializing specialized domain apps. You will leverage modern AI coding tools to maintain high developer velocity, ensuring architectural consistency across the ecosystem.

You Will

Architecting the Platform: Building and scaling decoupled applications using our standard MFE architecture (Webpack 5 Module Federation) and Django/PostgreSQL microservices. Impact: This reduces DevOps overhead and ensures independent, scalable deployments.

Driving High-Impact Integrations: Leading strategic initiatives, such as integrating the DMA Government application into the commercial Avathon Platform as a standardized MFE and Microservice. Impact: This standardizes our tech stack, eliminates redundant code, and accelerates our commercial go-to-market strategy.

Building AI-Grounded Features: Developing features that interact seamlessly with our AI Model Garden APIs and Central Knowledge Graph (CKG).

Maximizing Developer Velocity: Utilizing reusable platform patterns and heavily leveraging AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) to rapidly take products from prototype to production.

Collaborating Globally: Working with cross-functional teams to extend our foundational backend data tier, including robust identity/access control and event-driven webhooks.

You’ll Have

BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, with a strong foundation in system design and data structures.

4+ years of experience building and deploying scalable full-stack applications. (Startup experience is a plus).

Frontend Expertise: Deep experience with React 18, TypeScript, and modern state/form management tools like Redux Toolkit, React Router v7, and React Hook Form + Zod.

Backend Expertise: Strong proficiency in Python, Django 5.x, and PostgreSQL, with experience designing both REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints.

AI-Assisted Development: Proven experience utilizing AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) to accelerate coding, debugging, and test generation.

Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile software development tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Micro Front-End (MFE) architectures or migrating monoliths to decoupled services.

Experience with Graph databases or utilizing a Central Knowledge Graph for spatial/relational querying.

Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems like Keycloak (OIDC/OAuth2) and implementing strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

Experience with modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS.

Experience building event-driven systems, asynchronous message queues, or webhook dispatchers.

Interview Process

As part of the interview process, you will be asked to complete a technical case study assessment. Expect atleast two-three rounds of Technical interviewing rounds and one onsite round.
