We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer with Geospatial knowledge based in India to support our colleagues in Chennai and our teams worldwide. The role involves data analysis, software development, system integration, and geospatial data development, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Be involved in the development lifecycle, including definition and feasibility analysis for SLCD (approximately 50% front-end applications, 50% API and database-based development).
• Develop and maintain geospatial applications using Python and GIS technologies.
• Troubleshoot issues and solve problems across the stack.
• Develop geospatial or GIS applications with databases (preferred).
• Design and implement interactive GIS maps using libraries such as GeoPandas, Shapely, and Folium.
• Integrate geospatial data with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, MySQL, MongoDB) and RESTful APIs.
• Automate geospatial data processing workflows using Python libraries like ArcPy, Fiona, or PyQGIS.
• Build responsive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Collaborate with data scientists and GIS analysts to productionize geospatial models and visualizations.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack from front-end to back-end data pipelines.
• Stay updated with GIS and web development technologies and best practices.
• Deliver quality results on time with minimal supervision; be client-focused and translate requirements into product deliveries and subsequent refinement.
• Develop and maintain Geospatial databases; pragmatic, hands-on approach to delivering prototypes and MVPs.
• Communicate effectively in English (oral and written).

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geospatial engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in geospatial software development.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with Geospatial knowledge preferred.
• Strong knowledge of geospatial data management and analysis.
• Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript; libraries such as jQuery.
• RESTful API development and proficiency in Python.
• Spatial databases knowledge (PostGIS, SQL).
• Experience with GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) is an advantage.
• Web GIS development experience (Leaflet, Mapbox, OpenLayers).
• Backend languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) and JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js).
• Experience with geospatial data formats (GeoJSON, Shapefiles, KML) and spatial analysis techniques.
• Experience in an agile development environment; good problem-solving and communication skills.
