Job summary

Focally in Bengaluru is seeking a Full-Stack Mobile & AI Engineer to build end-to-end mobile apps, backend services, and AI integrations for connected smart glasses.

You will work across Android and iOS platforms, implement Bluetooth connectivity, REST APIs, and cloud infrastructure with AWS, while leveraging LLMs and voice tech to create seamless user experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in building mobile apps for Android and iOS across Kotlin/Swift ecosystems.
• Experience integrating Bluetooth and cloud APIs in mobile apps.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Node.js/Express backends, and AI integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android and iOS mobile applications.
• Build native Android applications using Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Components, Coroutines, and MVVM architecture.
• Develop native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, and Apple's native frameworks.
• Implement Bluetooth connectivity for smart devices using Bluetooth Classic, BLE, A2DP, HFP, GATT.
• Develop secure backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Implement real-time communication using WebSockets and SSE.
• Integrate AI capabilities using LLM APIs, prompt engineering, AI agents, tool calling, STT, TTS, and voice assistant technologies.
• Integrate third-party SDKs, cloud services, payment gateways, and external APIs.
• Build scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, SNS, SES.
• Design and manage databases using SQL, NoSQL, Firebase, and Firestore.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth, HTTPS, encrypted storage, and API security best practices.
• Collaborate closely with embedded, firmware, hardware, and product teams to deliver seamless connected smart-glasses experiences.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Write clean, reusable, well-documented, and testable code.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, debugging, testing, and deployment activities.
• Use modern development tools including Git, GitHub, Postman, Android Studio, and Xcode.
