The Frontend Developer operates as the technical partner to product and design teams, translating UI/UX designs, business requirements, and technical constraints into scalable, maintainable, and well-tested frontend code using Vue.js, React, and Next.js.
Accountability & Responsibilities of Role:
1. Application Development & Ownership
- Own the end-to-end development of frontend features across:
- Vue.js applications
- React applications
- Next.js applications (SSR/SSG)
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, reusable components
- Ensure performance, accessibility, and responsiveness standards are met in every release
- Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services
- Manage application state using appropriate libraries (Redux, Pinia, Vuex, Zustand, or similar)
- Handle asynchronous data flows, caching, and error states gracefully
- Partner closely with backend developers to define and refine API contracts
3. Code Quality & Collaboration
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following team coding standards
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design discussions
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and QA to deliver end-to-end features
- Mentor junior developers on frontend best practices where applicable
4. Performance, Testing & Reliability
- Write and maintain unit/integration tests to catch regressions early
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve UI bugs and performance issues in production
- Monitor frontend performance metrics and proactively address degradations
- Stay current with emerging frontend technologies, tools, and best practices
- Recommend and adopt tooling improvements (build tools, linting, CI/CD) that improve developer velocity
- Contribute to shared component libraries and design system documentation
Position Requirements:
- 3-6 years of professional experience in frontend web development
- Strong proficiency in Vue.js and its core principles (Composition API, Vuex/Pinia, Vue Router)
- Solid experience with React.js, including Hooks, Context API, and component-based architecture
- Hands-on experience with Next.js, including SSR, SSG, and API routes
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous data handling
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Experience in consumer-facing digital products or e-commerce platforms is a strong advantage
- Clear improvements in application performance, load times, and responsiveness
- Measurable reduction in UI bugs and production incidents post-release
- Strong alignment between design intent and shipped user experience
