Job summary

Genpact Ltd. in Kolkata is seeking a Front Line Manager for Finance & Accounting to lead a high-performing team in day-to-day accounting, reporting and controls.

The role drives budgeting, forecasting and process improvements, while ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal policies. You will engage with cross-functional partners to accelerate AI-powered finance initiatives and optimise working capital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/masters in finance, accounting, commerce or economics.
• ACCA qualification or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Proven experience in finance and accounting leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.
• Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA and Excel required.
• Experience in automation and AI-enabled finance processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise finance and accounting staff daily and allocate workloads.
• Oversee ledger entries, reconciliations, invoicing, payroll, and expenses.
• Prepare financial statements and ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for leadership.
• Drive process improvements and automation in financial ops.
• Liaise with other departments and provide insights to management.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and explanations.

Team ManagementSupervise and guide finance and accounting staff in daily tasks.Assign workloads, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.Provide training and support to team members to enhance skills.Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee development.2. Financial OperationsOversee day-to-day accounting operations including ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions.Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, payroll, and expense reports.Monitor cash flow and support working capital management.3.
