Job summary

A leading software testing company in Mumbai seeks a Trainee – Software Testing. This role is full-time and requires a solid foundation in software testing, along with exposure to tools like JIRA and API. The ideal candidate will have a degree in BE/BTech, ME/MTech, MCA, or MSc IT, and will be responsible for preparing test cases, conducting system tests, and ensuring defects are properly managed. Responsibilities

• Prepare scenarios and derive test cases.

• Execute end-to-end test scenarios, validate results, and report findings.
• Ensure bugs are properly identified, tracked, documented, fixed, and support UAT for users.
• Review business requirements and functional specification documents and provide input.

Key Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of software testing (manual & automation).
• Exposure to API, SQL, and Java.
• Prepare scenarios and derive test cases from them.
• Proactive test case execution, defect discussion, defect logging, risk identification, and mitigation.
• Knowledge of Test Management (e.g., Quality Center) and defect management tools such as JIRA and Bugzilla.
• Conduct independent system testing for application changes.
• Design test cases with expected outputs from business requirements and functional specifications to ensure maximum coverage and emulate user interaction in production.
• Execute end‑to‑end test scenarios, validate results, and report findings.
• Ensure bugs are properly identified, tracked, documented, fixed, and support UAT for users.
• Review business requirement and functional specification documents and provide input.
