Job summary

Entri Jobs is seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to join the Quality Assurance team in India. The role focuses on ensuring quality, functionality, and reliability by planning, executing, and documenting test activities.

The candidate should have a solid understanding of SDLC/STLC, testing methodologies, and defect life cycle, with fresher-level experience and strong analytical skills. You will collaborate with developers, PMs, BAs, and POs to meet project requirements and improve QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and defect life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Review software requirements and prepare comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Perform manual testing of software applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
• Conduct functional, integration, system, usability, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support.
• Collaborate closely with developers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to understand project requirements.
• Ensure applications meet functional and quality standards before deployment.
• Maintain accurate test documentation, defect reports, and test execution reports.
• Participate in project planning, sprint meetings, and quality review sessions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing methodologies.
• Support post-deployment validation and issue verification.
