About the Role
As an Associate Data Analyst, you will kickstart your career by working alongside experienced analytics professionals to solve real-world business problems. You will support a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectorsincluding Retail, Finance, Healthcare, Supply Chain, and Technology—by helping to translate raw data into actionable insights. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands‑on experience and build a strong foundation in the entire data analytics lifecycle.
Role & Responsibilities
- Data Extraction & Cleaning: Write SQL queries to extract data from various databases and assist in cleaning, formatting, and structuring large datasets for analysis.
- Dashboarding & Reporting: Help design, build, and maintain interactive business intelligence (BI) dashboards and daily/weekly reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Exploratory Data Analysis: Perform basic statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in client data under the guidance of senior analysts.
- Cross‑Sector Execution: Work on diverse projects across entirely different domains, learning industry‑specific metrics and operational models along the way.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate documentation of data dictionaries, metric definitions, and project workflows.
- Client & Team Support: Assist in preparing presentations, data summaries, and reports that help communicate findings to non-technical client stakeholders.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience & Education
- Educational Background: Recent Bachelor's or Master's graduate (or in final year) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Work Experience: 0–1 years of experience. Freshers are welcome. Prior internship or academic project experience involving data analysis is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Database Foundations: Solid academic understanding of SQL, including joins, subqueries, and aggregations.
- Data Visualization: Basic knowledge of BI platforms (like Tableau or Power BI) or advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, complex formulas, charting).
- Programming Basics: Familiarity with Python or R for basic data manipulation and scripting is a strong plus.
- Analytical Concepts: A good grasp of fundamental statistics and data structuring concepts.
Business & Soft Skills
- Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical mindset with a high attention to detail and a logical approach to solving problems.
